Trick? Aren't we supposed to teach them tricks? Is that the first question on your mind?

Well? turns out they are better learners than us. They learn our routines.
I have a Golden Retriever. And, I used to think - maybe, I am the one who has to teach her tricks.
But, Golden Retrievers are so intelligent. She has learnt my entire routine.
The time when I am attending a Zoom Meeting or when I am opening up my laptop and working.
Like she knows for a fact that my owner won't be in the home from 8:00 AM TO 11:00 AM. He'll be out somewhere.
So, after she comes from her walk everyday at 8:00 AM She will go back to sleep and wake up exactly around 11 ish.
Whether I am there at home or not. It's how she has mapped the time in her mind.
From 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM I generally work. And sometimes, my work over stretches.
She would wake up around 2ish and she would just roam around or look at me - meaning - get up, it's time to eat.
Last week I read in a reddit post, How a Golden Retriever, walks up to her master every day during lunch hours (she works from home) and gives her a banana.
That's crazy right? How we forget to take breaks but they are the ones who reminds us - how important it is for us to take breaks.
Another friend of mine told me that whenever she is having a ZOOM Meeting, her dog would sit right beside her on the sofa with her squeaky toy.
That's her routine. Now every time she is on the computer in her meeting - she gets a formal good morning from all the people on the other side of the screen.
How Dogs Accidentally Teach Us
Well, it's not just this. I was so intrigued about this that I actually did some research and found some really cool facts that I would want to share it with y'all.
Trick of Living in the Moment
Have you ever wondered how a dog teaches us about Living in the Moment. Living in NOW. Your dog doesn't care what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. He is happy right now chasing that ball that you threw. He is happy chasing away the pigeons on your backyard, not worried they'll come back again. He is living in the Now and just enjoying the thrill of it. Why can't we be like that?
The Trick of Letting Go
Have you noticed how dogs don't care even if didn't get time to play with her yesterday. It's focus in the present and the now. And, when you play with her the next time, she has already forgotten about it. Can we be so forgiving?
The Trick of Unconditional LOVE
I know you'll be like - well, it's impossible to love someone unconditionally. I won't argue. I totally agree. But, Dogs teach us how to love someone unconditionally. Your Dog doesn't care if you have blemishes on your skin or if you are overweight or underweight. He or She will love you from a place where these things don't even matter. They see your Soul. And, they know that it's pure. They love you from that place.
Trick of following a Routine
Routines are so important to dogs. Like me for example, I can sit in front of my computer and work the entire day. But, if it wasn't for my dog then, I wouldn't have taken a break and went out for a walk with him out in the open.
Similarly, If it wasn't for my dog, I wouldn't have learnt that it is important for me to have my lunch on time and eat my dinner on time.
The Trick of Asking for what you want
Sometimes we forget that asking what you want, clearly, is so important. Our Dog teaches us that. Whether its wanting to for a walk, or for going for pee, our dogs will clearly ask us for that. Look at us with those eyes or simply bark. Why can't we learn to ask from our partner or our significant others - just what we want.
