how to get rid of worms in a dog without going to the vet

We all go to the vet and buy deworming medicines every three months. But after proper research I found out that they aren't safe. In fact, it's been said to contain some toxic substances which might cause problems in the future.

Our pet means the world to us. So, why not switch to natural dewormers for dogs which are research-based and absolutely safe.

What can I put in my dogs food to get rid of the worms?

Well you can use papaya flesh and papaya seeds. You can also use 1/2 tsp of coconut oil in their daily diet. Coconut oil is good for fur, skin, and coat. You can always use 1/4 tsp of turmeric while cooking chicken or turkey for your pet.

Besides that, natural items like Pumpkin, raw pumpkin seeds, shredded carrots can also be added to dogs food to get rid of the worms.

Here are some Everyday Food To Get Rid Of Dog Worms Naturally

Pumpkin Seeds

Raw Pumpkin Seeds (not the salted ones) could be grinded well and feeded to your dogs. You can start with 1/4 tsp of ground pumpkin seeds per 10lbs of body weight once a day. The good thing is you can feed pumpkin seeds to Pregnant dogs as well.

Turmeric

Turmeric has been proven to be helpful for dogs for so many reasons. Be it preventing arthritis in old dogs to improving their gut health, helping digestion, and coming back to the context of this blog - helps clear intestinal parasites and worms from the gut.

Carrots

Our canine companions need carrots in their diet. Carrot cleanses the walls of the stomach and gut as they are digested meanwhile removing the parasites (if any) and mucus from the gut-lining.

Coconut

Raw Natural Coconut which is free from any additives is extremely useful in expelling out worms from the body. You can feed dried coconut or fresh coconut to your dogs. But never feed pre-packaged coconut that you find at stores.

Cloves

Crushed Cloves acts as a natural dewormer for dogs. But make sure you don't use too much. 1/2 tsp of crushed cloves can be given to dogs for at least one week. But here's a word of caution: don't give crushed cloves to pregnant dogs as it causes uterine contractions.

Papaya

It would be safe to say that Papaya is a superfood indeed at least when it comes to deworming dogs naturally. But the biggest debate is papaya seed or papaya flesh? Studies claim that a small amount of crushed papaya seed mixed with sweet papaya flesh is helpful for removing the parasite eggs in the gut. But like all things start with a small amount for 4-5 days and then repeat after 10-12 days.

So, here are some of the best natural remedies for deworming dogs at home.
